• November 1st.  Vettes for Vets cruise in at Cox's Double Eagle Harley Davidson from noon til 4 pm

• November 8th there are several events scheduled around the Sandhills area, first is the Southern Pines Veterans Day Parade in the morning, followed by the Seven Lakes Parade and Veterans Day memorial reading of the fallen at the Seven Lakes Winery. Rockingham Dragway is hosting a car show sponsored by Innovation Performance Technologies from 9am to 3pm with drag racing after the car show.​

• November 14th is the West Pine Middle School car show from 3:30pm to 5pm where student at the school that are planning on a career in automotive technology will be judging their favorite cars. West Pine Middle School is on Hiway 211 about 5.8 miles west of Pinehurst Traffic circle. address is 144 Archie Rd. West End, NC

• The 7th annual Festival D’Avion, a Celebration of Freedom and Flight at the Moore County Airport, has been moved to Saturday, Nov. 22 due to the federal government shutdown.

  • All current event sponsorships will be represented on the new date, and all previously sold tickets will be honored, Stilwell said. 

  • The planned “trunk or treat’ activities will still occur on the new date with the largest candy giveaway in Moore County. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and participate in various contests throughout the day. 

  • The Festival D’Avion, which will be staged from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., is presented by Children of Fallen Heroes, the Pinehurst-Southern Pines-Aberdeen Area.
